Using the library

Library of science of antiquity art music Liviano is one of the libraries of the Humanities Area (Polo Umanistico).
Anyone can access the libraryIn the library you can:
- search for books, journals and other documents in the Catalogue
- browse the journals list by title (click on the heading "Title")
- consult journals and other documents in the reading rooms
- borrow - renew - reserve books, as in the table here
- submit an Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
- search for articles in bibliographic and electronic databases or ask for Document Delivery using NILDE account
- suggest a purchase using the online form
- photocopy part of book/journal according to copyright laws (see printing and copying service page here)
- use Eduaroam Wi-Fi service
- use library PC stations or off-campus connection (Auth-proxy)
- attending training labs (in Italian)

Library collections
Most of the stuff (on the groundfloor, first floor and basement), is open-shelf; books are shelved according to internal semantic system.
Maps will help you to locate books and journals.
Books stocked in storehouses (catalogue status In deposito) can be requested - through My library card > Basic/Advanced search in the catalogue> click on Prenota/Request.Computer facilities
In the library you find some workstations freely accessible to serch in the Catalogue, others to access the electronic resources and surfing the web (by institutional e-mail address @unipd.it or @studenti.unipd.it and password)
External users who are interested in using the libraries of the University and their services need to buy a library card.
